Have you ever been dropped 200 feet straight down while your heart races? No, then you have not experienced one of the most exciting rides at Six Flags. Six Flags over Georgia is the premiere roller coaster theme park in Georgia.

With over 40 rides and attractions that will take you to new heights for thrills. Six Flags has been exciting the masses for over 57 years. Started in Texas, the original theme park only had one gondola ride, Wild West shows, a stage coach ride, and a pirate themed attraction called Skull Island/Hurricane Harbor.

Today, Six Flags has spread across the nation with 16 parks from California to New York. Six Flags has also spread internationally with two locations in Mexico and Canada. Six Flags over Georgia has been delighting the youth with amazing attractions since 1967. It has been a staple in the amusement and fun for youth across Georgia. One could even consider it a right of passage as teens and children come to seek adventure and test their courage on daring rides.

Ninja

My first roller coaster was even at Six Flags over Georgia, where I rode the Ninja, now known as the Blue Hawk. Considered one of the bumpiest rides at the time, it streaked across the horizon, creaking and moaning all the way. Of course, I was a terrified youth, wondering how did I let my friends convince me to ride on the most unreliable looking roller coasters.

The Ninja lived up to its title, flipping and turning, leaving me in a state of awe and bewilderment. As I soon discovered that day, the Ninja turned out to be one of the tamer rides at the park. Six Flags has made a committed effort to improve their rides from Goliath, a monolithic roller coaster that at its peak gives you a glimpse across the Georgia landscape before it sends you careening into tumultuous turns.

Batman located in Gotham City

They have the Batman, which explodes across the tracks and swings you over the parking lot at 50 miles an hour. Among the most famous of the rides is Superman, where you are transported into Superman’s shoes as you are sent flying up and down at breaking speeds.

As you can see, each ride builds on Six Flags legacy of fun and enthralling adventure. If you are looking for an exciting destination, then look no further because Six Flags over Georgia will unleash your wild side.
