Our first destination of the month recommendation is Paris, France, an amazing choice for a international getaway for a trip for any occasion. Paris is a great place t0 for a romantic getaway, adventurous trip, family trip, or even a relaxing trip. The city is famous for their art, fashion, gastronomy, culture, and famous landmarks. The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of Paris is the famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame Cathedral. People are drawn to this beautiful, historic city not only for the breathtaking monuments and museums, but also for the mouth watering cuisine. Most people say you can not visit Paris without eating their speciality of croissants and macaroons.


Our Goal is to help you easily and effectively plan a trip to Paris, France to meet all your personal travel goals. In an effort to help you plan an unforgettable trip we will provide tips and ideas for plane tickets, places to eat, places to stay, experiences and many more things to make it an unforgettable trip.


Plane tickets:

When searching for plane tickets to Paris, make sure to keep an eye on tickets months in advance to get the best deals. There are multiple airlines including bigger airline names such as American Airlines and Delta that make flights from the United States to Paris, France. There is also some other airlines that are smaller that sometimes provide you with a better deal. Some people prefer a cheaper price over comfort, while others prefer comfort over price due to the length of time in the air. If a cheaper option is chosen that may mean that there is a layover on the way to Paris, The flight to Paris from Atlanta is around 8 and a half hours, which will make your long trip even longer if a layover is taken somewhere on the way.

Tips when traveling to France:

  • Make sure you have an updated passport

  • Make sure to allow yourself enough time to make it through customs and security at the airport (Especially if you are at the Atlanta airport)

  • Make sure to bring the essentials for the long plane ride (headphone and a neck pillow)

  • Try to get a window seat or an aisle seat on the plane

  • Make sure to bring water, chapstick, and gum on the flight

  • Get a night flight, so you’re not tired when you arrive

  • Make sure to bring your driver's license (thats updated and has a matching name to your passport and flight ticket)

WHERE TO EAT:

Of course anywhere that you travel, there is a temptation to try any every restaurant you see. We will provide you with a guide to some of the best restaurants. These restaurants include date night spots, a quick lunch bite (so you can get back to exploring), brunch, and some of the must eat at restaurants in Paris. Paris is known to have some of the best food options. The must eat food while in Paris includes:croissants, Pastries, baguette, cheese, macarons, and Crepes. We are going to help to map out places for you to dine while exploring Paris while also getting you the best bang for your buck.


GRENIER AU PAIN [BAKERY / SANDWICHES]

Grenier Au Pain is a Bakery that won the “best baguette in Paris” award. There sandwiches are very fairly priced. You can get a meal for under €7 = $7.96, including: sandwich, enclair, and a drink on the lunch special.


L’AS DU FALLAFEL [KOSHER MIDDLE EASTERN]

L’as Du Fallafel is a restaurant that is famous for their excellent falafels sandwiches. This is for sure a destination food that needs to be eaten while in Paris.The standard falafel sandwich is €6.50 ($7.39) and the shawarma sandwich is €9 ($10.23). This restaurant is very popular and typically has a line at all times. Luckily the line moves pretty quickly. You can eat outside. You can eat inside but the prices are much higher inside so it is recommended to order from the takeaway window and eat on the street.


KRAFT HOT DOGS [HOT DOGS]

Kraft Hot Dogs is a fast food restaurant that serves delicious hot dogs that are topped with multiple topping options. It’s a great place to stop for a quick bite while you’re exploring the Marais neighborhood. Prices range from €4-€6.50, so it is very affordable.


L’EXPRESS DE LYON [FRENCH BISTRO + CRAFT BEER]

L'express De Lyon is a french bistro and a craft beer bar. They provide simple french dishes paired with a cold glass of French craft beer. They have the best deals in town for craft beer and you get an even better deal if you sit at the bar. This restaurant is not in the tourist area, so you can experience the lifestyle of Paris locals.


CHARTIER [CLASSIC FRENCH]

Charter is a classic french restaurant that is located inside a massive old parisian restaurant that's now a historic monument.This restaurant is a good place to have a romantic dinner or a nice dinner. Their main dishes range from €8-€12. They serve classic/ simple french dishes such as chicken or steak and fries. The best part about this restaurant is the atmosphere.


BREIZH CAFÉ [FRENCH CREPES]

Breizh Cafe is a famous cafe that is known for their amazing french crepes. They are known to be on the top of “best crepes in Paris” list. The prices are not bad either. Most savory crepes are 7-€10.50 and the amazing dessert crepes cost around €7-€10.This restaurant can be ate at for any breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They serve all type of crepes. The most famous crepe in Paris is known to be a simple one with ham and egg.


Where to stay

Hostels:

Hostels are typically for younger people trying to save money that don’t mind sleeping in the same room as others. Hostels are a very common place for people to stay, since they are not spending much time in the place they are staying. They are all out exploring instead of spending time in their rooms.

Airbnb is a good resource to use when finding a place to stay in Paris. There are many different options for places to stay from apartments to mansions. When booking an Airbnb for overseas just make sure to check the reviews to make sure you are staying in a safe/ validated place in order to make sure you are not getting ripped off.

The Eiffel tower is the most well known monument in Paris, which is for sure a MUST SEE while there on vacation. We recommend purchasing a ticket prior to ensure a fun filled experience. Cathédrale de Notre Dame de Paris is a very famous medieval cathedral church. I know is by the movie the hunchback of Notre Dame. This can be an eye catching monument for children or anyone who has seen the movie.

Opéra Garnier is a famous opera house that was built from 1861 to 1875. It was made from the famous Phantom of the Opera in 1911. This is a wonderful place to explore with so much history behind it. .

Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It is the biggest and tallest triumphal arch in the world.

Hôtel des Invalides is a museum dedicated to french army history. It is famous for Napoleon’s opulent and gold-domed tomb.

Grevin Wax Museum was established in 1882 that holds more than 400 famous war figures. This is a great historical museum for people who are wanting to learn more about French History.
